RECREATING THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG

In remembrance of the Battle of Gettysburg, 150 years ago today....

TV RECREATIONS OF THE BATTLE

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION
Episode: Way To Go
Sofia (seeing the reenactment): Is this Gettysburg?
Grissom: You into military history?
Sofia: My dad was. Used to spend the summer touring Pennsylvania in an RV, so I could learn things.
Grissom: You were a lucky girl

COLUMBO
Episode: Grand Deceptions
And for good measure, right at the end, the credits feature something completely unrealistic. Zooming in to a shot of the model soldiers, the camera finally rests on a tiny miniature Columbo... Now I don't think he was ever at Gettysburg!

Also:
From the Columbo site:
Col. Pagett, at first reserved upon greeting Columbo, fancies himself the only Civil War expert in the room, when he shows Columbo the battle re-creation in his office.  Columbo, much to the Colonel's surprise, immediately recognizes the scene not just as from Gettysburg, but as the Battle of Cemetery Ridge.

STEP BY STEP
Episode: Head of the Class (1995)
Nobody pays any attention to Miss Foster's dry academic lecture on the Civil War but Cody's reconstruction of Gettysburg is a regular hit with the kids.

EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND
Episode: 'Civil War'
Feeling left out when he thinks that his father selectively asked his brother to join a Civil War re-enactment, Ray voluntarily enlists for the Battle of Gettysburg.
