BIRTHDAY HONORS, TVXOHOF - "COUSIN" CONAN

Hey!  Guess what!  If you didn't already know by the previous blog post today, it's my birthday!

And that means I have a sworn duty to uphold: inducting a birthday honors member into the Television Crossover Hall of Fame.

Well, I'm already in the TVXOHOF.  My place of employ is also in the Hall, as are a few characters played by friends.

So I think it's time to induct a family member.... albeit one who is DISTANTLY related to me.....

(We might even have to go back to the days of Brian Boru to find the common ancestor.  O'Briens are the Smiths of Ireland!)

This is the year in which our theme for the TVXOHOF inductions has been the League of Themselves.  But I wanted to make my birthday celebration a little special this year, so we're inducting not only the live-action Conan O'Brien (of several TV dimensions) but also the cartoon Conan O'Brien of the Tooniverse!

So let's take a look first at those appearances by Conan in the TV dimension in which everybody is animated.....

The Simpsons
- Bart Gets Famous (1994)

Futurama
- Xmas Story (1999)

Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist
- Lerapy (2002)
- Chopper (1997)

Family Guy
- Into Harmony's Way (2013)

Also included in this group would be an episode of his own talk show in which he went on an adventure with the super-spy Sterling 'Archer':

Apparently, as also seen in his episode of 'Space Ghost: Coast To Coast", Conan has some kind of connection between the two dimensions.

'Space Ghost Coast to Coast'
- Fire Ant (1999)

Now we'll move on to his live-action appearances as his fictional televersions.  The bulk of them can be found in the main Toobworld known as Earth Prime-Time:i

Arli$$
- Colors of the Rainbow (1996)

Veronica's Closet
- Veronica's Night Alone (1998)

LateLine
- Pearce on Conan (1999) ... Conan O'Brien

Sesame Street
- A Prince of a Frog (2011)
- Word 'Dog' Escapes Abby's Book (2007)
- Episode #31.1 (2000)
[Puppets are alive in Toobworld.]

And over in Skitlandia, they interacted again.....

Primetime Glick
- Eugene Levy/Conan O'Brien (2001)

The Office
- Valentine's Day (2006)

30 Rock
- Hogcock!/Last Lunch (2013)
- Tracy Does Conan (2006)

Eagleheart
- Honor Thy Marshal (2012)
[I will confess I'm sometimes tempted to put this series into Doofus Toobworld.]

Web Therapy
- The Host Whisperer (2011)
- Quid Pro Conan (2011)
- Guess Who's Coming to Late Night (2011)
- The Insanity Offense (2012)
- Man-Cave Man (2012)

How I Met Your Mother
- No Pressure (2012) ... Bar Patron
[It's logical that Conan might have been having a beer at McLaren's, a NYC bar.]

Newsreaders
- Jr. Newsreaders (2013)

Arrested Development
- The B. Team (2013)

Nashville
- Never No More (2013)

Maron
- The Joke (2014)

The Comeback
- Valerie Gets What She Really Wants (2014)

Ground Floor
- The Mansfield Who Came to Dinner (2015)

Clipped
- Dreamers (2015) ... Red-Head Customer
[Since the show was set in Charlestown, Ma., maybe he was back in Massachusetts visiting family.]

One More Happy Ending
- Episode #1.10 (2016) ... Mi Mo's client

I think we have to figure Toobworld's Conan plays around......

And then there are a few alternate TV dimensions in which he appears:

Spin City
- Dead Dog Talking (1998)
[This was an alternate TV dimension due to an alternate NYC mayor from the real world mayor, Rudy Giuliani, who was established in Toobworld as well.  So Conan O'Brien could be nuts in that world.]

DAG
- Pilot (2000)
[This would be the same alternate TV dimension in which we would find 'Mr. President', 'Nancy', 'Hail To The Chief' and 'Corey In The House'.]

Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda
[This TV movie is in Disaster Toobworld, along with the "Sharknado" franchise and movies about natural disasters.]

Of course Conan O'Brien exists in Skitlandia, but did you know he can be found in the Borderland combination of Skitlandia and Zombie Toobworld?

So here's to you, "Cousin" Conan.  Welcome to the Television Crossover Hall of Fame!
