We celebrated Lillie Langtry here at Inner Toob two years ago, but there's no harm in sharing a YouTube video about her in the midst of our salute to characters from 'Edward The King'.....

Hi Toby,
I've been busy with various projects for a few days (notably the Charlie's Angels crossover/spinoff timeline at the TVCU blog), but I'm trying to catch up now. Wanted to let you know about another, interesting, Toobworld appearance of Lillie Langtry.
In episode 3 of season 6 of Fantasy Island, Lillie appears, played by Madlyn Rhue. (Madlyn has an interesting claim to fame of being cast as a love interest for Ricardo Montalbán on two occasions, most notably as Lt. Marla McGivers to his Khan in the 1967 Trek episode "Space Seed", as well as being cast in a 1960 episode of Bonanza as his wife.) Judge Roy Bean is played by Andy Griffith. Michelle Phillips plays Andrea Barclay, who wants to be a singer but suffers from extreme stage fright. Roarke sends her back to Langtry, Texas.
Info from my wife, the world's biggest FI fan: The judge has built a place for her to play, but Lillie bypassed Langtry because it was too small. So the fantasizer went after Lillie and, at point-blank range of a pistol, robbed Lillie of her stage outfit (shooting the hat right off her head). Andrea wore the outfit onstage, singing as Lillie, and cured herself of the stage fright.
So, I think that this incident would have done nothing at all to interfere with Lillie become Embraced. Maybe made her more willing to get bitten, I suppose.
Haven't found any pix of Ms. Rhue as Lillie Langtry yet, however.
